This solution is designed for a 20-28 cells battery management system (BMS) aimed at domestic battery-powered generators. The design uses Renesas’ multi-cell, single-IC battery manager in parallel to safely and effectively monitor battery life, as well as cost-optimized system control from the RA family of 32-bit MCUs. This combination creates a system for a battery-pack board capable of managing higher voltages and interfacing with a wide variety of load devices.
