Description
Use our RTKA489301DE0000BU to evaluate the RAA489301, a high-efficiency three-level buck voltage controller. It ensures smooth transitions across different output and input voltage ratios, providing versatility in power regulation. Our evaluation board features adjustable output voltage, programmable switching frequency, and a power-good indicator, showcasing its adaptability to different needs. Built-in protections include overcurrent, overvoltage, undervoltage, and overtemperature protection. Through SMBus/I2C communication, we can program critical parameters like input and output voltage and current limits, delivering a customizable power solution.
Features
- Single inductor, three-level buck controller
- Proprietary modulator for flying capacitor balancing and smooth mode transition
- Wide input voltage range: 4.5 volts to 24 volts
- Wide output voltage range: 3 volts to 24 volts
- Programmable switching frequency up to 367 kilohertz (effectively 734 kilohertz at switching node)
- External pin for 5 volts or 10 volts gate drive voltage through the internal charge pump
- Low shutdown current: 25 microamperes
- Pass-through mode in both directions
- Support for pre-biased output with soft start
- Input and output current monitoring
- MOSFET drivers with adaptive shoot-through protection
- Complete protection features: overcurrent, overvoltage, undervoltage, and overtemperature protection
- Compatible with SMBus and I2C communication
