Mr. Mirkazemi holds the positions of Senior Vice President and General Manager of Software & Digitalization at Renesas Electronics Corporation. Also, he serves as President of Altium within the Renesas Group.
Mr. Mirkazemi joined Renesas on August 1, 2024, following the acquisition of Altium, where he has been CEO since 2014. Under his leadership, Altium became the fastest-growing EDA company, achieving ten years of consecutive double-digit revenue growth and one of the most remarkable turnarounds in Australian Stock Exchange history. Additionally, Altium acquired Octopart, a small start-up in 2015, and developed it into the world's leading electronic parts search engine, significantly enhancing Altium's business.
Mr. Mirkazemi has extensive expertise in Software Engineering, Electronic CAD, Cloud and Web technologies, gained from years at the forefront of engineering software development. As a pioneer in cloud and web-based technology, he founded and led Morfik Technology in the early 2000s after Altium's successful IPO. Morfik was later acquired by Altium, laying the foundation for the development of Altium’s industry-leading cloud platform, Altium 365.
Mr. Mirkazemi served as an Executive Director on the Board of Altium from 2012 and holds a Bachelor of Computer Systems Engineering Degree from the University of Tasmania, Australia.
