Vehicle Control Systems

In-vehicle networking technology is the backbone of every electrical feature in today’s vehicles. The automotive industry, together with technology providers and standardization bodies, has developed specialized communication protocols or made extensions to existing standards to meet the demanding requirements of the automotive domain. Integrated automotive gateways enable in-vehicle networks in today’s modern cars by connecting Electronic Control Units (ECUs) with various network interfaces to sensors throughout the vehicle. These gateways route data between functional domains such as the chassis, powertrain, body control, infotainment, and telematics. Renesas is committed to supporting our customers in developing energy and cost-efficient solutions supporting these in-vehicle technologies.
