Overview

Description

The Renesas Ethernet system offers quick-start designs to add industrial Ethernet connectivity to sensors and embedded devices. It supports pre-certified PROFINET®, EtherNet/IP™, and EtherCAT® protocols, reducing development time and complexity. This flexible platform includes a gateway for connecting Modbus RTU/TCP devices to modern Ethernet networks and a sensor module for direct Ethernet integration. Developers can choose between the certified multiprotocol industrial Ethernet module, ideal for quick integration, or the high-performance industrial Ethernet MPU in a system-on-module (SoM), which eliminates the need for a separate MCU and offers enhanced processing capabilities.
