Renesas instrumentation amplifiers (in-amps) and programmable gain instrumentation amplifiers (PGIAs) provide the precision and high performance needed in many industrial, test and measurement, data acquisition, and medical applications.
Instrumentation amplifiers are precision, integrated operational amplifiers that have differential input and single-ended or differential output. Some of their key features include very high common mode rejection ratio (CMRR), high open loop gain, low DC offset, low drift, low input impedance, and low noise. Programmable gain instrumentation amplifiers are specialized in-amps that have fixed gain levels. The appropriate gain level is selected by digital means.
