Mr. Kanigicherla serves as Co-CTO and Head of Engineering at Renesas Electronics Corporation. He has held his current role since January 2025. He is responsible for driving innovation office initiatives, long range critical technologies, IPs & Technologies, EDA/CAD and common product/test engineering.
Prior to his current role, he held the position of Vice President for Renesas’ infrastructure business division, followed by his role as Head of Engineering Group from January 2024.
Before joining Renesas, Mr. Kanigicherla served as the Corporate Vice President & GM of Custom Computing group for providing custom silicon solutions at Intel. Prior to this role, he held the position of VP & Chief SOC architect for Intel’s Graphics & Throughput computing organization.
Before Intel, Mr. Kanigicherla served as Founder & CEO of Ineda Systems, a start-up company specializing in Automotive and IoT silicon solutions. Prior to Ineda, he worked at AMD as a Senior Director of Engineering. Earlier in his career, he held multiple engineering leadership roles at Conexant Systems, Ikanos Communications, Velio and Intel.
Mr. Kanigicherla has a MS in Electrical Engineering from Arizona State University and holds 17 U.S. Patents relating to various System, SOC and IP architectures.
