Impact of the August 19 Earthquake in Northern Ibaraki Prefecture on Renesas Operation

A seismic intensity 5 lower earthquake occurred on August 19 at 0:50 a.m. JST, with its epicenter at Northern Ibaraki Prefecture, Japan.

There was no damage to the buildings, utility and manufacturing equipment of Renesas Naka Factory (Ibaraki Prefecture), which is located nearby the epicenter. While some equipment halted operation, there is no impact to the factory’s production.

As of August 19, Renesas has so far received no reports on the impact on Renesas’ overall supply chain including suppliers and partner companies from this earthquake.
