Impact of the November 9 Earthquake in Southern Ibaraki Prefecture on Renesas Operation

A seismic intensity 5 upper earthquake occurred on November 9 at 5:40 p.m. JST, with its epicenter at Southern Ibaraki Prefecture, Japan.

There was no damage to the buildings, utility and manufacturing equipment of the Naka Factory (Ibaraki Prefecture), which is located nearby the epicenter. While some equipment halted operation, there is no impact to the factory’s production.

As of November 9 JST, Renesas has so far received no reports on the impact on Renesas’ overall supply chain including suppliers and partner companies from this earthquake.
