Renesas today announced an update on the impact of the earthquake that hit the coast of Fukushima Prefecture and the surrounding areas on March 16 at 11:36 p.m. JST on Renesas Group operation.
Renesas operates three factories close to the epicenter: Naka Factory (Hitachinaka, Ibaraki Prefecture), Takasaki Factory (Takasaki, Gunma Prefecture) and Yonezawa Factory (Yonezawa, Yamagata Prefecture).

- Naka Factory, Renesas Semiconductor Manufacturing Co., Ltd.
- The start-up of the manufacturing equipment began on March 17 JST, and production has resumed partially (for test lines) within the same day.
- We expect to reach full pre-earthquake production capacity (wafer input base) on March 23 JST.
- Assessment of the impact on work-in-process is underway, and an outline is anticipated to be attained by March 23 JST.
- Takasaki Factory, Renesas Semiconductor Manufacturing Co., Ltd.,
- The start-up of the manufacturing equipment began on March 17 JST, and production has resumed partially (for test lines) within the same day.
- We expect to reach full pre-earthquake production capacity (wafer input base) on March 23 JST.
- Assessment of the impact on work-in-process is underway, and an outline is anticipated to be attained by March 23 JST.
- Yonezawa Factory, Renesas Electronics Corporation,
- Production initially resumed for some test lines on March 17 JST, and production for all processes has resumed as of today, March 18 JST.
- We expect to reach full pre-earthquake production capacity (input base) on March 20 JST.
- While we initially announced that one employee suffered a minor bruise, further medical examination diagnosed the injury as a bone fracture.

· As of March 18 JST, Renesas has so far received no reports on casualties or significant facility damage.
