Tokyo, Japan, September 2, 2016—Renesas Electronics Corporation today announced its third update on the impact of the earthquake that hit Kumamoto Prefecture and the surrounding areas in Kyushu at 7:46 p.m. on August 31 on Renesas Group (“the Group”) business operation.
Regarding the status of the Renesas' offices and factories impacted by the earthquake, Renesas announced its plan, on September 1, to restore full pre-earthquake production capacity (wafer input capacity) at the Kawashiri Factory targeting September 2, and the company today announced that it will complete the restoration as scheduled by September 2 evening.
