TOKYO, Japan, May 11, 2016 — Renesas Electronics Corporation (TSE: 6723) today announced the recording of special loss for the non-consolidated financial results for the year ended March 31, 2016 (the period from April 1, 2015 to March 31, 2016).
1. (Non-consolidated financial results) Outline of the special loss
The Renesas Group recorded a business structure improvement expense of 9.3 billion yen for financial assistance for Renesas Semiconductor Manufacturing Co., Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of Renesas Electronics, as special loss.

The impact on business performance of the recording of special loss has been incorporated into the financial results for the fiscal year ended March 31, 2016, announced today.
