The ISL75054MEVAL1Z evaluation board showcases the ISL75054M, an ultra-low noise, high-PSRR, radiation tolerant low-ropout regulator (LDO) ideal for powering sensitive analog loads such as RF devices and ADCs.
The ISL75054M supports a wide input voltage range of 2.7V to 30V, with an adjustable output from 0.5V up to (VIN - VDO), and can source up to 1A of output current. Key features include an adjustable soft-start, an open-drain power-good indicator, and overvoltage/undervoltage detection to monitor output status.
Built-in protections such as over-temperature shutdown, and internal and resistor-adjustable current limiting with foldback, enhance system reliability. The integration of a precision internal current source and high-performance voltage buffer error amplifier enables ultra-low output noise and high PSRR while minimizing the number of external components required, reducing BOM, solution size, and design complexity.
