Description

The CC-Link IE TSN is an open industrial network technology (and an extension of the Ethernet standard) that the CC-Link Partner Association adopted for time sensitive networking (TSN). Renesas provides a system solution based on this technology for smart factory applications. As one of the first controllers to support the CC-Link IE TSN Class B standard, the R-IN32M4-CL3 system-on-chip (SoC) meets strict specifications. This protocol enables ultra high-speed and high-precision motion control solutions. TSN also enables seamlessly linked interoperation between information technology (IT) networks and operational technology (OT) networks, allowing product models or production volumes to be changed in real time, while also providing flexible support for the manufacturer. This boosts factory productivity overall.

System Benefits:

  • The R-IN32M4-CL3 complies with the CC-Link IE TSN Class B standard. It features an R-IN engine, Gigabit Ethernet PHY and 1.3MB of RAM for Ethernet communication. This enables high-speed, large-capacity communication without a software real-time operating system and external parts.
