Overview
Description
The EU068-MCTRIPSPOCZ board shows a fully tuned 24V Field Oriented Control (FOC) motor control solution with sensorless and smooth operation using the highly precise IPS2200 inductive position sensor. The onboard RX13T microcontroller is an optimized single motor control solution to drive the vector control/FOC of the permanent magnet synchronous motor (brushless DC motor). The RX13T also has a best-in-class built-in Floating Point Unit (FPU) at 32MHz and various built-in peripheral functions, making a small and low BoM cost single motor control board. This application shows the use of the microcontroller together with the IPS2200 axial position sensor, allowing motor axle position feedback without HALL effect sensors.
Features
- Wide range of motor capabilities, 12V up to 36V, max 4A (144W)
- Simple interface to external control hardware (ADC input, PWM input)
- Graphical User Interface (GUI) gives real-time access to key motor performance parameters and provides a unique motor auto-tuning facility, and onboard buttons for standalone operation without the GUI control
- Fully tuned BLDC motor is included on the board
