Hitron Chooses Celeno Technology to Power DOCSIS 3.0 Cable Gateway

September 14, 2018

[IBC Amsterdam] – Celeno Communications, the leading provider of smart, managed Wi-Fi solutions, today announced that Hitron, a leading Broadband equipment provider, has selected its Wi-Fi technology to power their latest DOCSIS 3.0 cable gateway. The gateway, based on Celeno’s high performance 802.11ac Wave 2 5GHz CL2430 3x3 and 2.4GHz CL2432 3x3 chipsets and advanced Wi-Fi software technology, will deliver managed QoS and QoE to every corner of the home while ensuring the high speed connectivity required to handle massive video, VR, gaming traffic, etc. from a multitude of connected devices.

The gateway includes Celeno’s in-chip dedicated RF circuitry and DSP-based Argus engine for spectrum scanning and analysing. The engine scans the spectrum without interrupting service and without the need for additional RBOM costs, maximizing overall Wi-Fi performance. The gateway is powered by Celeno’s edge-software technologies including ControlAIR, Celeno’s multi-AP management software, which allows increased capacity, improved coverage and consistent Gigabit speed of Wi-Fi when deploying multiple smart managed Wi-Fi access points – gateway and smart extenders in the home.

“In today’s saturated and hyper-dense Wi-Fi environments, Celeno delivers a powerful and highly intelligent solution that enables ubiquitous and consistent Wi-Fi coverage throughout the home,” says Ben Huang, Vice President of Sales at Hitron.

“Hitron is a world DOCSIS CPE technology leader and we are excited to see our technology incorporated into their DOCSIS 3.0 gateway,” said Ronen Peleg, VP Sales and Business Development at Celeno. “With our technology, Hitron can offer their customers a gateway the delivers best-in-class Wi-Fi performance and a fully managed QoS for a flawless end user Wi-Fi experience.”
