Description
The SmartBond™ DA1469x family of Bluetooth® Low Energy solutions features advanced multi-core microcontroller units designed for robust wireless connectivity. Building on the success of Renesas' SmartBond line, these units include three additional cores, enhancing processing power, resources, range, and battery life. This expanded capability supports a variety of consumer applications, including high-end fitness trackers, sophisticated smart home devices, and immersive virtual reality game controllers.
Powered by the Arm® Cortex®-M33 processor, the DA1469x products deliver superior processing performance, catering to demanding applications. They also support the latest Bluetooth Low Energy 5.2 protocol and proprietary 2.4GHz deployment, facilitating precise Real-Time Locating Systems (RTLS) and low-latency communications. The inclusion of a Sensor Node Controller (SNC) allows for autonomous sensor data processing, further enhancing device functionality.
The DA1469x family is equipped with a state-of-the-art Power Management Unit that optimizes energy efficiency by selectively activating processing cores only when needed. This integration eliminates the requirement for a separate PMIC, thereby reducing system size and enhancing overall performance.

- 32kHz up to 96MHz 32-bit Arm Cortex-M33 with 16kBytes, 4-way associative cache and Floating-Point Unit (FPU)
- A flexible and configurable Bluetooth Low Energy MAC engine implementing the controller stack up to HCI
- A sensor node controller running uCode for sensors manipulation
- A uCode-based motor controller for manipulating analog gear boxes for hands on watches
- Optimized power modes (Extended sleep, Deep sleep and Hibernation)

- 512kB Data SRAM with retention capabilities
- 4kB One-Time-Programmable (OTP) memory
- 16kB Cache SRAM with retention capabilities
- 128kB ROM (including boot ROM and PKI routines for Flash image authentication)

- SIMO buck DC/DC converter (2.4V - 4.75V)
- Four power supply pins for external devices, alive while DA1469x is asleep
- Supports Li-polymer, Li-ion, coin cells, NiMH, and alkaline batteries
- Hardware charger (up to 5.0V) with programmable curves and JEITA support
- Programmable thresholds for brownout detection
- Digital controlled oscillators
- 32MHz crystal (±20ppm max) and RC oscillator
- 32kHz crystal (±50ppm, ±500ppm max) and RCX oscillator
- Application cryptographic engine with AES-256, SHA-1, SHA-256, SHA-512 and a FIPS 140-2-compliant True Random Number Generator (TRNG)
- A Real-Time Clock (RTC) with 10ms resolution
- 4 general-purpose, 24-bit up/down timers with PWM
