Joint Development of World-Leading "8-in-1" E-Axle PoC
Renesas and Nidec have jointly developed an "8-in-1" E-Axle proof of concept (PoC) for electric vehicles, integrating eight core functions into a single unit. The system combines an inverter, motor, gearbox, power supply, and control circuits, achieving reduced size, lighter weight, and improved efficiency for EVs. Renesas will continue to deliver comprehensive solutions, such as reference designs and software, to accelerate the development of next-generation electric vehicles.

Industry-First DDR5 MRDIMM Chipset for Next-Generation Servers
Renesas has announced the industry' s first complete memory interface chipset for DDR5 Multiplexed Rank Registered DIMMs (MRDIMMs). The chipset integrates a multiplexed registered clock driver, multiplexed data buffer, and PMIC, enhancing both power efficiency and reliability. Renesas will continue to support next-generation data centers and AI workloads by optimizing server performance through advanced solutions.

Renewable Energy Solutions that Contribute to Energy Efficiency

Unlike fossil fuels, renewable energy does not emit CO2 during power generation, and thus contributes significantly to the reduction of greenhouse gases through fossil fuel substitution. Wind and solar power generation are strongly required to minimize installation and maintenance costs while maximizing power generation efficiency. Our products contribute to the adoption of renewable energy by meeting this need.

Bidirectional SuperGaN Power Supply Solution
Through its recent acquisition of Transphorm in June, Renesas has introduced a new reference design for a bidirectional SuperGaN power supply aimed at e-mobility and industrial applications. Leveraging 300W-class GaN technology, the solution achieves compact, highly efficient, and reliable power systems. Renesas plans to expand its use in markets such as EV charging infrastructure and industrial battery storage systems.

Air Quality Management Solutions for Building Automation

According to the IEA, building and other building-related CO2 emissions account for approximately 30% of global CO2 emissions, and in 2019, building-related energy efficiency investments totaled more than $150 billion. Our solution enables high performance CO2 sensing and fine air conditioning control to reduce power consumption.

High-Performance MPU "RZ/T2H" for Industrial Control System
Renesas has announced the "RZ/T2H," a high-performance MPU designed for industrial automation. It integrates 9-axis motor control, industrial Ethernet communication, and Linux application support into a single chip. By combining control and communication functions, it enables space-saving designs and improved efficiency, helping to accelerate the development of next-generation robots and servo systems.

Green and Super Green Devices

One of the pillars of Renesas' environmental activities is its eco-product activities. This is an activity to create environmentally friendly semiconductors, or eco-products, at all stages of the product life cycle, including product development, procurement, manufacturing, use, and disposal.

To create eco-products, we evaluate and index the environmental impact of our products in eight categories, including product safety and energy conservation, and compare them with our existing products. As a result of this product environmental assessment, developed products that have been certified as having superior environmental performance compared to our conventional products have been registered as Renesas Green Devices, while superior products have been registered as Super Green Devices, and are reported internally and externally.

Ultra-Compact Air Quality Monitoring Sensor "RRH62000"
Renesas has launched the ultra-compact sensor module "RRH62000" for smart air quality monitoring in homes, schools, and public facilities. The sensor accurately detects multiple gases as well as temperature and humidity, and is designed for easy integration into IoT devices. It contributes to advanced air quality management while reducing installation space requirements.

According to a report by the World Health Organization (WHO), 1.35 million people worldwide have died in traffic accidents, and traffic accidents are one of the world's 10 leading causes of death. More than half of traffic fatalities occur among vulnerable road users (pedestrians, cyclists, motorcycles, tricycles and other passengers), and the development of safe vehicles has always been a global concern.
