Overview
Description
As energy costs rise, there's an increasing focus on energy-efficient heating solutions. Programmable thermostats allow users to control heating schedules based on occupancy and personal preferences, significantly reducing energy consumption and costs.
This programmable radiator thermostat enables customized heating and zonal control for homes, optimizing energy usage while maintaining comfort for occupants. The design features a compact MCU with low power consumption to drive an LED segment display, a GreenPAK™ device interfacing with a motor for the radiator, and a humidity and temperature sensor to ensure the room remains at an optimal temperature.
System Benefits:
- A compact LCD MCU with low power consumption outputs data to an LCD segment display (lowest cost) or graphical matrix LCD, offering an energy-efficient and cost-effective design.
- The GreenPAK programmable mixed-signal matrix allows the use of a brushed DC or stepper motor without changes in schematics or PCB, eliminating the need for power transistors.
- The MCU supports easy system expansion with Bluetooth® Low Energy (LE) or Wi-Fi modules.
