Overview
Description
The Open Charge Point Protocol (OCPP) facilitates communication between networked charging stations and charge management systems. This system allows standalone EV chargers to connect to an OCPP server, enabling remote EV authorization, charger configuration, real-time alerts, session controls, and fault management. It offers users and manufacturers the flexibility to use any charger or EV system, supporting various charging techniques like CHAdeMO and Type-2 CCS, enhancing interoperability and user convenience.
System Benefits:
- Supports CHAdeMO and Type-2 CCS connectors, allowing flexible use with CAN or PWM communication.
- Network interfaces such as GSM, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth® Low Energy (LE) provide flexibility to interface with the charger and inform about the battery type and vehicle.
- The system can connect to 3.3kW or any charger through SPI/Pmod™ as an interface card.
- The MCU is used for the OIC card to interface with a vehicle through the charging gun.
