Overview

Description

The RAA236105 is a highly efficient, integrated synchronous buck-boost regulator. It features an ultra-low input quiescent current of 130nA in normal regulation mode and less than 22nA when disabled. It can be programmed to the Forced Bypass mode, where the current consumption is 75nA, ideal for power-saving when voltage regulation isn't needed. This mode can be accessed via a pin for quick entry and exit. The device supports input voltages from 1.8V to 5.5V and is designed for stand-alone applications, offering various default output voltage options at Power-On Reset (POR).

The device delivers up to 400mA of output current (when VIN > 2.5V) and features pin-controlled Dynamic Voltage Scaling (DVS) with programmable slew rate options. It uses one pin reader with an external resistor to select output voltages and another to select the input current limit. It requires only a single 0603-size inductor and two external capacitors for full load support, with two additional external resistors needed for pin reader options. The RAA236105 is available in a 2.5mm × 2.5mm 10-lead DFN package with a 0.5mm pitch and is specified for operation within a -40 °C to +85 °C ambient temperature range.
