Description
New Release: The Embedded Target V6.07.00
We offer the above tool for co-simulation between the CS+/e² studio integrated development environment from Renesas interlinked with MATLAB® and Simulink® from the MathWorks, Inc. Among other things, this will support the validation of algorithms and model-based development by customers. For more information of this tool related to using evaluation version or purchasing commercial version, please refer to the release information.

A license key is required to use the Embedded Target. Please check contents in below before using this tool.
For customer who consider commercial version of the Embedded Target
The Embedded Target is a tool that works with multiple software tools in tandem. Therefore, before purchasing commercial version license of this tool, we recommend that you check operating environments of the Embedded Target carefully and try the free evaluation version (limited 2 months usage) on your development environment first to check if it works properly.
This tool may not work properly under the following conditions.
- MATLAB® versions are not supported by this product.
- Specifications of Renesas MCU (such as small ROM/RAM size)
- When a size of generated codes, which are affected size and complexity of the Simulink® model, is larger than ROM size of the MCU.
- Inability to communicate due to network security settings, etc.
Again, please check operating environments of the Embedded Target carefully.
Embedded Target Evaluation Version Information
We will guide you through technical support.
Please refer to the following procedure.
- Access technical support on the Renesas Web site.
- Click on [LOG IN] and log in to the site with your ID which has been registered with My Renesas.
- Click on [SUBMIT A TICKET] in the upper right of the screen.
- Issue a new ticket by referring to the table and examples of entry which are shown to the right side.

Note
- The Embedded Target may not work properly with certain ROM/RAM size of a device and/or size and complexity of a model.
We recommend tying the evaluation edition on your development environment first to check if it works properly. - When using Embedded Target with an RA family device, an emulator and an actual device are required to perform PILS (Processor In the Loop Simulation). In addition, additional settings are required to match the FSP version and GCC version in use. For more information, refer to FAQ in below.
FAQ: Project cannot be generated when using RA family in Embedded Target. (Embedded Target error code E300) - The FSP installer for RA family is available on GitHub.

Embedded Target can create an automatically configured model for the PILS environment. Next it generates a Renesas IDE project for PILS.
