Overview
Description
LoRa® and Bluetooth® Low Energy (LE) are complementary wireless communication technologies widely used in IoT applications. LoRa provides long-range communication with scalable performance (throughput vs. range), while Bluetooth LE enables short-range, high-accessibility interactions. Combining both technologies in a single sensor node offers the best of both worlds: reliable long-range data transfer with LoRa and convenient local access with Bluetooth LE for commissioning and monitoring.
This LoRa and Bluetooth LE sensor node is customizable for diverse applications, supporting one or multiple sensors (e.g., light, air quality, temperature, and more). It wirelessly transmits collected data via LoRa and Bluetooth LE for flexible connectivity. With versatile power options including disposable AA batteries or rechargeable batteries with NFC wireless charging (WLC), this system ensures flexible and power-efficient deployment for any application.
System Benefits:
- Dual communication technologies: LoRa enables long-range communication with scalable throughput vs. range, while Bluetooth LE offers convenient local access for GUI-based commissioning and monitoring.
- Low-power operation is optimized for long battery life with extended sleep periods, supporting both disposable batteries and rechargeable NFC WLC charging for flexibility.
- Customizable sensor support accommodates one or multiple sensors for various applications, including light, temperature and humidity, indoor/outdoor air quality, airflow, accelerometer, and barometric pressure.
