概要

説明

The ZSSC3026KIT Evaluation Kit provides the hardware needed for configuration, calibration and evaluation of the ZSSC3026 Sensor Signal Conditioner IC. The user's PC can communicate with the ZSSC3026 IC socketed in a PQFN adapter on the ZSSC3026-36 SSC Evaluation Board via the ZSSC3XXX Communication Board through a USB connection. The Evaluation Kit Software is available on-line for free download.

The Evaluation Board can connect to the user's sensor or to the ZSSC3XXX Sensor Replacement Board, which provides a replacement for an actual sensor and can be used for the first step of calibration or a dry-run calibration. The simulated resistive sensor signal is controlled by potentiometers.

Boards can also be ordered separately. To enable product comparisons, this modular kit is compatible with other select Renesas devices. Contact your local sales representative for more information.

ZSSC3026 Sensor Signal Conditioner IC for High-res Altimeter Modules

The ZSSC3026 is a sensor signal conditioner (SSC) integrated circuit for high-accuracy amplification and analog-to-digital conversion of a differential input signal. The ZSSC3026 is designed for high-resolution altimeter module applications and can perform offset, span, and first and second-order temperature compensation on the measured signal. It is developed for the correction of resistive bridge sensors and can also provide a corrected temperature output measured with an internal sensor.

The measured and corrected bridge values are provided at the digital output pins, which can be configured as I2C (≤ 3.4MHz) or SPI (≤ 20MHz). Digital compensation of signal offset, sensitivity, temperature, and non-linearity is accomplished via an 18-bit internal digital signal processor (DSP) running a correction algorithm. Calibration coefficients are stored on-chip in a highly reliable, non-volatile, multiple-time programmable (MTP) memory. Programming the ZSSC3026 is simple via the serial interface. The IC-internal charge pump provides the MTP programming voltage. The interface is used for the PC-controlled calibration procedure, which programs the set of calibration coefficients in memory. The digital mating is fast and precise, eliminating the overhead normally associated with trimming external components and multi-pass calibration routines.
