Description
This next-generation motion camera solution enables edge AI object detection and classification with an optimized boot and power scheme to enable long battery life. To further reduce power consumption, the system remains in a completely off state until motion is detected in the field of view. The first good image is captured within 500ms after motion is detected, with Linux boot completing in 3 seconds. AI and image analysis starts after boot, allowing for object classification in a fraction of the time of a normal system boot.
System Benefits:
- System is off except for the always-on motion sensor and MCU
- 90% reduction in overall boot time from traditional Linux system boot time of 30 seconds
- Fast, low-power object detection and classification performed on the DRP-AI hardware accelerator
