Depending on your use-case, the required sensor is different to detect the speed or position of the motor. Renesas offers sample code for common motor control sensors, such as Hall Sensors, Encoders, Resolvers, Inductive Sensors, as well as Sensor-less control.

Choose a Kit to Get Started

MCK-xxx motor control kits include an inverter board paired with a compatible CPU board, motor and, for some target products only, a communication board. Also, Renesas provides an inverter board (MCI-HV-1) for high voltage motor control evaluation which is compatible with a dedicated CPU board. You can easily connect to your board design by using the communication board (MC-COM) for safe debugging of motor applications. Evaluation kits other than MCK-xxx kits also include a motor and inverter board and can be used along with separately sold CPU boards.

On the full kit pages listed in the table below, you can also find kit components such as CPU boards and access sample software customized for motor control kits, evaluation systems, and inverter boards.
