Description

Rangefinders measure the distance between an observer and a target. They are commonly used across various industries, in applications such as home automation, industrial proximity sensing, and distance measurement. Many handheld rangefinders face challenges like accuracy issues, shorter battery life, and signal interference in high ambient light environments. Additionally, the lack of wireless communication capabilities makes integration with mobile devices difficult.

This smart rangefinder system addresses these challenges by incorporating a Time of Flight (ToF) sensor, achieving a wide range distance measurement (0.15m to 10m) with an accuracy below 3%. It is optimized for handheld and outdoor use, providing high ambient light immunity. Additionally, the system uses the world's lowest power Bluetooth® Low Energy (LE) system-on-chip (SoC) for wireless communication and mobile app integration, maintaining long battery life.
